Salisbury to become home to TreeClimb in the north

Excitement is stirring in the northern suburbs as the City of Salisbury recently revealed that it will become home to the first TreeClimb in northern Adelaide, after a development application for the construction of a tree and high ropes course at Harry Bowey Reserve was approved.

The highly popular attraction, with existing locations in the CBD and Kuitpo Forest, will lay roots in Harry Bowey Reserve, Salisbury Park, providing northern residents with the opportunity to explore their adventurous side on obstacle courses in the natural tree canopy.

Prior to the approval, Council engaged in extensive community consultation which received overwhelming community support, with over 1000 responses and 93% in support of TreeClimb coming to Salisbury.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating,

It’s an exciting time in the City of Salisbury! This year is already looking full of brilliant new developments, and I’m thrilled we can add TreeClimb to the list.

We welcome TreeClimb to our City, and encourage community members to embrace this unique outdoor experience.

As the project heads into detailed design stages, TreeClimb will continue to work closely with the City of Salisbury to provide updates to the community as the project progresses.

Spokesperson for TreeClimb, Carmine Gallarello, shared TreeClimb’s excitement for the project, saying, ‘Tuesday night’s result was a big step and we’re excited to bring TreeClimb to the City of Salisbury. The design of the Salisbury course will be unique to our other sites, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone into the trees.

‘We would like to acknowledge the support from the community and Council. We are eager to create something the entire community can be proud of and use.’

Local community members are encouraged to follow the Council and TreeClimb’s social media pages to stay up to date with the progress on the new northern TreeClimb, which promises unforgettable thrills between the treetops.
