The Para Hills Seniors Centre (PHSC) is a friendly leisure centre situated at the Para Hills Community Hub. The centre offers a unique blend of programs, activities and services for older people.

The centre has a wide range of programs to help older people to live supported, happy and connected lives.

Monday to Thursday, it’s all about getting out and connecting with like minded people, keeping physically active and eating well to help you live your best life.

On Fridays, the Para Hills Club is a social support group for frail, older people. The program includes interesting activities, guest speakers, morning tea and lunch.

Frozen takeaway meals are also available Monday to Friday during business hours.

Getting there

The Para Hills Centre is located within the Para Hills Community Hub. A car park, including disability parks and a ramp is available for use. A number of bus routes service the surrounding area. For further details and the current timetable please visit the Adelaide Metro website.

Hills meals services

Fresh dine-in meals are available to purchase Thursday and Friday. Please pre-order by 11am by calling 8406 8587. View the menu here.

Frozen meals are available on weekdays during business hours.

Membership

A membership fee applies to attend programs at the centre.

The membership period aligns with the financial year July to June each year. Membership gives you access to our programs at any of our three senior centres.

Membership can be obtained by visiting the Para Hills Seniors Centre or the Jack Young Centre and completing the appropriate form.

Please note that you don't have to be a member to come in for meals. Pre-ordering is required, so ring 8406 8587 before 11 am. Meals are served between 12 noon and 1 pm.

Other services for seniors

Our staff can also give you information about help at home through Home Assist and the Housing Support Program. This may include support with cleaning, shopping, home maintenance and modifications, gardening, social trips and transport.
