What is Chair Yoga?
Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practised sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support.
Chair yoga is a wonderful, alternative way to practice yoga without getting on or off the floor. Restrictions after surgery, arthritis, joint or musculoskeletal problems are some examples of why chair yoga can be more appropriate.
Whether you have been referred by a health care professional or decided for yourself to attend, chair yoga is a great practice for everyone, as it improves well-being, increases flexibility, improves strength and balance, reduces stress and improves sleep.
