Create a Place - Public Art Project
Promoting South Australian artists within our Salisbury region.
Create a Place is an exciting project to increase our awareness of public art within our community.
Artists and venues come together to create a space that adds colour and liveliness to our region through the use of paintings and mosaics.
Once registered through an expression of interest application for both venues and artists, a small public art panel will match venues with artists that best reflect the needs of the spaces.
Artists will be provided with an artist brief specific to the site chosen and final drawings will need to be submitted for final approval.
So far we have had several successful ‘Create a Place’ spaces around our region and we want to continue to grow our public art projects.
Expression of Interest
If you have a location or venue that would make a great 'blank canvas' please click here for a 'Venue Expression of Interest' application. Examples of previous locations have included rainwater tanks, large brick walls and underpasses.
Marketing and promotion
All completed masterpieces are displayed on our Discover Salisbury website.
We encourage any artists from South Australia to register their interest to take part in what we hope will become a legacy for our region.
