Adelaide Senior Secondary Schools Creative Arts Exhibition

"A vibrant and diverse range of artworks created by Northern Adelaide Senior Secondary Schools Stage 2 Creative Arts, Visual Arts and Visual Design students in 2023.

Students in Stage 2 develop technical skills throughout the folio process and create a finished piece of work that reflects their personal narratives, inspirations, and creative processes.

Through their art students communicate their perspectives on the world around them, addressing social issues, personal experiences, and imaginative concepts.

This exhibition is a celebration of creativity, dedication, and passion for the arts."

Get ready for Harmony Week 2024 with Peter Drew's captivating 'AUSSIE' posters at The Mawson Centre. Drew, hailing from Adelaide, explores memory, nationalism, and more in his renowned street art.

Experience a glimpse into Australia's past through Drew's posters, depicting individuals affected by the White Australia policy over 100 years ago.

With a Master's Degree from the Glasgow School of Art and exhibitions across Australia, Drew's work blends artistry with societal reflection.

Join us for an immersive journey into history and culture at The Mawson Centre. Explore the AUSSIE series and delve into Australia's rich tapestry of stories.

One Man's Passion- Model boats

The Salisbury Community Hub - Kaurna Room cabinets (Ground Floor)

A display of model boats that have been donated to the Mawson Lakes Model Boat Club by the family of the late Robert Foreman OAM. He was a passionate model boat / ship collector. He was awarded the OAM and other medals for his service to youth through the Air Training Corps on flight simulation. In accordance with the families wishes, the Club is finding a permanent home for his collection amongst its members and some selected maritime industry organisations.
