Polaris Secures State Funding to Support More SA Businesses Than Ever

The City of Salisbury’s Polaris Business Development Centre has secured new funding from the South Australian Government to continue its support for small businesses across the state.

Thanks to the Office for Small and Family Business, Polaris has been awarded funding through the Small Business Fundamentals Program for the 2025–2027 financial years. This funding ensures the continuation of Polaris’ flagship Business Fundamentals Program, which offers workshops, group sessions, one-on-one mentoring and consultations to help South Australian business owners build the knowledge and confidence to succeed.

With this new funding, Polaris will expand its services to include business owners in regional and remote South Australia via live, interactive virtual sessions - making it easier than ever for businesses to access expert support, no matter their location.

Established by the City of Salisbury 25 years ago, Polaris has consistently exceeded expectations. In the past two years:

  • over 1,700 businesses accessed Polaris services
  • Polaris programs achieved a 97% satisfaction rate
  • networking events attracted 770 attendees, helping business owners connect and grow.

Metro businesses will continue to benefit from in-person services offered at multiple locations.

To be eligible for our services, you simply need to have an ABN and be actively operating a business.
