About NCP

The NCP is one of the state-wide Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) Collaborative Projects Program funded for sector support and development in South Australia. The NCP works with stakeholders across the Port Adelaide Enfield (central), Tea Tree Gully, Salisbury and Playford local government regions.

Aims of the Northern Collaborative Project (NCP)

The NCP aims to build the capacity of the community aged care sector to enhance outcomes for older people and their carers through:

  • Developing and sustaining regional networks and partnerships.
  • Facilitating the identification of regional issues and resources.
  • Developing collaborative responses to address regional issues.
  • Ensuring the participation and engagement of older people in regional discussions and initiatives.
  • Supporting the community aged care sector to implement the Commonwealth Home Support Program and other aged care reforms and to provide feedback to and from the Commonwealth and State Departments.
  • Supporting Commonwealth Home Support Program providers and community members, including special needs groups by delivering professional development opportunities.

The work of the NCP is inclusive of all regional stakeholders, with the project's key activities and initiatives being driven by stakeholder input. The NCP is managed through an Executive Steering Group and provides for broad engagement through bi-monthly Northern Collaborative Network Forums and a range of Work Group meetings.
