Waterproofing Northern Adelaide

The Waterproofing Northern Adelaide project was a collaborative project to improve urban water management in Adelaide's northern region.

WNA was undertaken by the Cities of Playford, Salisbury and Tea Tree Gully with the assistance of $41.8 million from the Australian Government's Water Smart Australia program, as well as State and private partners.

The project gained its final funding approvals on 16 April 2007 and the initiative was successfully completed on 30 June 2010.

The Waterproofing Northern Adelaide final project report sets out the way in which the councils have achieved the integration of urban stormwater and groundwater to provide a sustainable water supply for the region. The report also provides information and technical descriptions of all the projects completed under the WNA initiative.

The WNA final report can be downloaded here.
