Events Salisbury Fringe Carnival 2021 crowd

FREE Salisbury Fringe Carnival this month

Roll up, roll up! Fringe flair is coming to Salisbury with the popular Salisbury Fringe Carnival from 25 February 2022 – 26 February 2022.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM said the Fringe event brought a special atmosphere to the Salisbury City Centre.

This is a prime example of the free family fun events that Council works to bring you across the year.

It activates the centre of Salisbury and helps leverage trading opportunities for local businesses, as well as creating a lively place where people from different corners of our community come together as one.

Friday 25 February from 5:30pm to 9:30pm

Saturday 26 February from 10:30am to 9:30pm

Salisbury Community Hub & Civic Plaza - Inparrinthi Kumangka

This FREE event over two jam-packed days has everything you’d expect from a day at the show – sideshow games, amusements rides, fairy floss, balloon artists, dodgem games and more.

Check out the free amusements and activities:

  • Sizzler ride
  • Safari train
  • Jumping castle
  • Dodgem cars
  • Boat races
  • Totem tennis
  • Duck pond game
  • Airbrush tattoos
  • Activities by our local Morella Community Centre

A special addition to this year’s Carnival is the ‘Blue Brick Road’, a remake of the famous Yellow Brick Road. Participants must journey around the event to six different stalls and collect goodies and a letter from each. The six letters spell out a secret word and when returned to the Salisbury Information tent, you can go into the running for an exclusive showbag.

A line-up of local bands covering everything from pop to modern rock will be there on both days. Among the talent is Sword in Stone, Face the Music, Final Touch, Substance, RAViE with Toni and SHiREEN, Afro Oz Musica and many more.

Our Australia Day Award winners will be presented their awards on the main stage on Friday at 6pm, as part of the official Fringe line-up. This is to make up for the cancellation of our Australia Day Breakfast, where they would have been properly acknowledged and thanked for their long list of achievements.

COVID-safe precautions will be in place at this event, such as strict social distancing and hygiene rules and supervised by several COVID marshals.
