Celebrating Our Change Makers – Thank You!

Volunteers are a vital part of the community and offer countless hours to improve the lives of others.

This is National Volunteer Week 2023, the week of ‘The Change Makers.’ Together around Australia, we celebrate their contributions.

I’d like to give a big thank you from the bottom of my heart to our volunteers. The time they give to our city makes it the supportive and vibrant place it is. I’m so grateful for their efforts and community spirit.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM

The City of Salisbury has hundreds of multilingual volunteers from a diverse range of cultural groups who work to make a beautiful and connected community for all.

Volunteers are involved in the running of community centres, exercise programs, cultural kitchens, art workshops, and seniors assistance – to name just a few areas of their impact. They make a difference in helping the Council deliver better services for the community every day.
