May 2025 update

The City of Salisbury are partnering with a Buildtec and Catcorp consortium to revitalise the Salisbury City Centre into one of South Australia’s most vibrant Centres.

The redevelopment of the City Centre will bring large-scale activation and economic growth to the heart of Salisbury.

This monthly update provides the latest news on the Salisbury City Centre redevelopment.

Planning application submitted

The planning application for Stage 1, including sites 1 and 2, was lodged with the State Commission Assessment Panel (SCAP) late last year and is progressing through the assessment stage.

Stage 1 includes residential housing, retail and commercial tenancies, a multi-deck car park and premium supermarket.

New render released

A new render of Wiltshire Street has been released, showing the ground floor supermarket, multi deck car park and part of the commercial tenancies.

Waste management

The City of Salisbury is currently working through waste management solutions for the tenancies who interface the proposed development.

A representative from the City of Salisbury will visit all impacted tenancies to discuss waste.

Leasing

Leasing opportunities within Stage 1 are now available!

Stage 1 provides high-quality, collaborative commercial tenancies across both ground-floor activated street frontages and upper-floor spaces to cater for a diverse range of businesses.

Timing

Planning application lodged with the State Commission Assessment Panel in December 2024.

Stage 1 (Sites 1 and 2) commencing construction late 2025/early 2026, pending timing of Development Approval.

2026 – Stage 1 to be delivered and Stage 2 preliminary works to commence.

2027 – Stage 2 commences (Former Civic Centre and Sexton car park sites).

The City of Salisbury, together with Buildtec and Catcorp, want to work with local businesses to manage disruption during the redevelopment.
