We are upgrading access and amenities at Carisbrooke Park to ensure it is a welcoming, accessible and safe space for all.

A new purpose-built Changing Place facility will provide people with profound disabilities access to toilets with additional space, specialised equipment, and a safe, dignified environment for users and their carers.

A Master Locksmith's Access Key (MLAK) is required to access the Changing Place facility, which ensures it remains secure and available to those who need it.

The northern car park is also being resealed with asphalt and will have new line markings added, including accessible parking near the main footbridge.

Public lighting will be installed in the car park to improve visibility for both pedestrians and drivers, particularly during community events.

A new asphalt footpath will connect the car park to the Changing Places facility, making it easy for everyone to access.

Works are underway, with the Changing Places facility expected to be completed in July and the car park expected to be completed in September.

There will be limited parking available in the northern car park during the works; however, the southern and Harry Bowey Reserve carparks are open as usual.
