Unity Park Dog Park for Small Dogs

Submissions closed

The City of Salisbury is developing a dog park for small dogs at Unity Park in the 2023/24 financial year.

We would like residents and users of Unity Park dog park to have their say on what they would like to see.

Please submit your comments or feedback within the following form.

Dog parks for small dogs are typically smaller fenced areas adjacent existing dog parks for the purpose of providing a separated space from the main dog park.

These can be helpful when:

  • a dog or owner/ handler may feel threatened by another dogs' presence or behaviour
  • introducing a dog to dog park activities

Dogs that meet the small dog entry requirements (approximately 35cm at the shoulder) can be off leash at all times but must still be under effective control by command and the dog must be in close proximity, and you must be able to see the dog at all times. Dog park rules and etiquette apply.

Please note that children should not enter a dog park without a parent/ guardian at anytime.

The City of Salisbury has many great open spaces where dogs can be exercised and enjoyed with their owners including parks, reserves and dedicated off leash fenced exercise areas. The below website describes the many location available.
