Whether you're new to the area or just keen to connect with your community, we'd love to meet you. Drop in on the second Wednesday of each month between 10:00 am and 11:00 am — no bookings needed, just bring yourself! We can’t wait to say hello and help you feel right at home.

Mawson Centre Overview

Nestled beside the picturesque Sir Douglas Mawson Lake and UniSA’s Mawson Lakes campus, The Mawson Centre is a vibrant hub for learning, borrowing, culture, and community connection. This innovative facility offers a diverse range of programs, services, events, and room hire options to support lifelong learning and community engagement.

The Mawson Centre is a collaborative initiative, proudly co-owned by the University of South Australia, the City of Salisbury, and the South Australian Department for Education.

The Mawson Centre works with residents, community groups and partners to provide a range of programs and activities that enable connection, skill sharing and learning. Programs and events are available for all age groups from early years to seniors.

Immunisation Clinic

City of Salisbury Immunisation Clinic at The Mawson Centre is held on the first Thursday of each month, from 3:45 PM to 6:45 PM. For enquiries, please contact Health and Immunisation Services on (08) 8152 0363 or email: admin@haims.com.au.

Mawson Centre Room Hire

The Mawson Centre offers a range of versatile spaces for community use, suitable for teaching, meetings, workshops, and small events. Our largest room comfortably accommodates up to 50 guests, making these spaces ideal for small to medium-sized gatherings.

It is important to note The Mawson Centre does not include a traditional community hall or kitchen facilities. Instead, it features classroom-style spaces equipped with movable furniture and projector screens, offering flexibility for a variety of activities

Hire is only available to community groups and organisations look to host regular community meetings, programs or activities.
