Salisbury Wins at the LGA Scheme Awards

Award

Results are in for the 2022-2023 Local Government Association Scheme Awards revealing an exciting win for the City of Salisbury. The annual awards celebrate excellence among South Australia's local government sector in implementing risk management programs, processes, systems and developments.

The City of Salisbury scooped the Risk Management Award with its work on the Risk Assurance Map.

Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM was in attendance to accept the award with the Manager Governance.

“This award acknowledges the progressive measures we take at the City of Salisbury. We’re always looking for ways to improve what we do for our community. I’m so proud of our team for its many efforts in contributing to deliver quality outcomes,” said Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM.

A city operates within a complex web of rules, regulations and policies. There are many checks to make sure we are compliant and manage our risks efficiently and effectively.

To help with this, the City of Salisbury created a Risk Assurance Map. This tool assists Council in assessing risk more holistically and ensures the focus is on the key risks for the organisation.
