Lit for Life – Sparking Imagination in our Communities

This week the Salisbury Community Hub will once again transform into ‘event mode’ as we welcome the Windmill Theatre Co to the City of Salisbury for their SOLD OUT performance of ‘Grug and the Rainbow’ on Tuesday 9 May.

A smash hit all over the world, Grug and the Rainbow brings its exquisite puppetry and heart-warming humour back to delight audiences.

Lit for Life is an innovative series of performances available for FREE with a library card membership. The series of performances focuses on bringing books to life through theatre and music, and the events aim to encourage families to reconnect with their local library and love of literacy.

The Salisbury Community Hub recently hosted performances from the series including ‘In This Place’ by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra – an adaption of local South Australian author Phil Cummings book, and ‘Spark: Once Upon a Jar,’ both proving to be a great success and well received by the public.

Lit for Life is just one of many FREE initiatives being held at the Salisbury Community Hub and opens up further opportunities for future events and live performances for the local Salisbury Community to enjoy.

It is an absolute joy to have storytellers perform in the City of Salisbury. What could be better than bringing families together and inspiring young minds to read?
