City of Salisbury to continue COVID-19 support to small businesses

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect people across the world, and the City of Salisbury recognises the need for continued financial assistance to small businesses.

Through the delivery of Council’s Small Business Grants, small businesses will have access to timely support to navigate through disruptions caused by COVID-19.

Small Business Grants

Local small businesses impacted by COVID-19 in the first quarter of 2022 will be able to apply for financial assistance through Council’s Small Business Grants, which comprises of two small grants – a $60,000 total funding pool.

Aimed at providing relief to businesses, applications for the Capital Works Grants (up to $5,000) and Online and e-Commerce Grants (up to $2,500) will be open until 5pm on 31 May 2022.

Capital Works Grants will encourage small businesses to invest in capital works during this challenging time, so they can position their operations to strongly benefit from economic recovery.

Online and e-Commerce Grants aim to support small businesses by allowing them to develop their online and e-commerce capabilities, allowing them to operate more effectively online.

Before applying, Council strongly encourages businesses to contact the Polaris Business & Innovation Centre on 08 8260 8205 or via email polaris@salisbury.sa.gov.au to discuss your proposal, or if you need assistance to complete the application.

Businesses must also provide a quote for all items, services, activities or fees that their application is for. All applications will be assessed after the 31 May deadline and peer-reviewed against the eligibility criteria.
