How Good Are Libraries? Just Ask Us.
Our libraries are more than just places to borrow books, they’re inclusive community hubs offering free services, events, access to technology, and support for everyone.
For our littlest (and cutest) members, we run Giggle Time, Story Time, and Nature Play. Our fun and interactive school holiday programs let kids create their own fairy gardens, attend their first disco, and even explore the world in virtual reality!
Our tech services are available to all—from public computers and free Wi-Fi to digital courses in leadership, sales, job hunting, and digital marketing. We help unlock opportunities that may otherwise feel out of reach.
For our book lovers, our shelves are of course filled with books—but we also offer eBooks, audiobooks, and online magazine subscriptions. And through our incredible Salisbury Author Series, Australia’s best authors visit to give you a behind-the-scenes insight into their stories.
At the City of Salisbury, we’re proud to be leading the way in thinking outside the box. We’ve partnered with not-for-profit organisation Sonder to trial an onsite social worker—a first-of-its-kind initiative that helps reach people who might not otherwise seek support.
We invest heavily in our libraries because we believe everyone deserves free access to education, technology, entertainment, and community connection. With your support, we can ensure libraries remain a resource for generations to come.
