The City of Salisbury, through its Community Grants Program, aims to encourage, develop and support community projects/events that provide a service or program to residents of the City of Salisbury and foster opportunities for community participation and development.
Incorporated community groups, voluntary associations, health, and religious organisations are invited to apply for the Council's Community Grants.
Project categories include:
- establishment of a new group
- education and training
- crime prevention
- defibrillator (one-off funding) - conditions apply, refer to the Guidelines and Eligibility Criteria document
The limits of funding under the Community Grants Program are bound to an upper limit of $5,000.
For new groups an establishment grant may be available which is limited to a maximum of $2,500 for an unincorporated group and $5,000 for incorporated groups.
The Community Grants Program funding rounds are open on an ongoing, rolling basis and are considered at the Community Wellbeing and Sport Committee as part of their monthly meeting schedule. Applications can be submitted at any time and will be considered in the next funding round providing all criteria is met (refer to page 25 of the Guidelines and Eligibility Criteria document for further information).
A new application form is required every eligible funding round and the current Community Grant Application Form must be completed.
To avoid delays in assessment and possible funding the Application is to be completed in its entirety and all applicable documents attached. The Applicant must carefully review the Community Grants Program Guidelines and Eligibility Criteria document to determine the organisation's eligibility.
