City of Salisbury is consistently monitoring the evolving threat of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in order to determine the most effective actions in line with advice from the State and Federal Governments and other key agencies.

The status of COVID-19 is rapidly changing and an internal team made up of representatives from across the organisation is in regular contact to ensure our responses are timely.

Council’s primary concern remains the health and welfare of all members of our community and our staff and the delivery of essential services.

We have put in place a number of measures to promote safety and reduce the potential for the spread of COVID-19.

Update: 17 January 2022

Two pop-up style clinics inside the Salisbury Community Hub are taking bookings for COVID-19 vaccinations (first and second), boosters and child vaccinations (5-11 years).

SA Health has set up a clinic on the ground floor in the Hub’s specially designed Kaurna Rooms, normally used for Council’s immunisation programs. The service administers the first and second Pfizer vaccine and the booster dose, eligible after four months from your second COVID-19 vaccination.

A separate clinic for child vaccinations is also available in the children’s library area at the Hub and will require a booking before attending, no walk-ins accepted.

Salisbury Community Hub 12 years+ vaccine and booster clinic

  • 9:30am to 3:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
  • The clinic is open until Saturday 29 January 2022
  • This is subject to availability.

Salisbury Community Hub 5-11years child vaccine clinic

  • This clinic is open until Sunday 30 January.
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm
  • Thursday 8.30am – 7.00pm
  • Saturday 9.30am – 3.30pm
  • Sunday 11am – 2pm

This is the second time COVID-19 vaccination clinics have been in the Hub on 34 Church Street, Salisbury, and it was selected again due to its central location, modern facilities and proximity to other services.

Remember to bring your ID and Medicare Card with you when you come for your vaccine or booster. To find out more about boosters and the COVID-19 vaccine, head to the SA Health website.

Update: 23 November 2021

South Australia’s borders opened to Victoria, NSW and the ACT in the early hours of this morning.

City of Salisbury is working to keep its services running ‘business as usual’, with some expected changes to accommodate the new roadmap released by SA Health and to ensure the safety of staff and the community.

The most significant change to impact the public is the access restrictions to the ground floor of the Salisbury Community Hub.

More information on this and other changes are stated below:

Salisbury Community Hub access changes

To reduce community transmission, Level 1 of the Salisbury Community Hub will no longer be open to the general public. The ground floor is still accessible to the public for library and other council services, but mask-wearing and social distancing will be in place and a COVID check-in is required on entry.

Library service changes

All library opening times are unchanged and are listed here.

Normal face to face children’s programs will be delivered online for the rest of the school term.

Programs unavailable in-person across all City of Salisbury libraries include:

  • Giggle Time
  • Story Time
  • Read, Play, Learn
  • Family Phonics

We look forward to welcoming you back to our regular early childhood programs onsite in Term 1.

Planning and development services

We are still providing our full planning and development services to residents and would like to encourage residents to contact us by phone, email or video conferencing where they are able. If someone would like to come into the Salisbury Community Hub, please call in the first instance to make an appointment and minimise queuing in the building.

Those coming to the Salisbury Community Hub for a meeting with our planning and development team to talk about an application will be asked to wait on the ground floor for a member of staff to greet them and accompany them to an open meeting space on Level 1. Masks must strictly be worn at all times.
