Using the Library

Membership

Membership is free to residents of South Australia when proof of name, residential address and signature is shown. People under 18 years require a parent or legal guardian to go guarantor for them. Self-registration is available via the library catalogue allowing holds to be placed and access to online resources. A visit to one of our branches with appropriate identification is required to collect the library card and upgrade to full library membership.

If you are already a current member of any South Australian public library you may not need to join as your card can be used for borrowing from the library collection, accessing public PCs and some online resources. Conditions apply.
