From Thursday 21 August until Wednesday 27 August, access to the following sections of Salisbury Community Hub will be limited while events are underway: • Thursday 21 – Level 1 limited access • Friday 22 – Ground floor and level 1 limited access • Saturday 23 – Ground floor and level 1 limited access • Sunday 24 – Salisbury Science Fair takeover (reduced services) • Monday 25 – Ground floor limited access • Tuesday 26 – Ground floor limited access • Wednesday 27 – Ground floor limited access (early closure at 5pm, including Salisbury After Dark) • Thursday 28 – Full access and services resume. The public is advised that: • access to library collections may be impacted during this time • public computers, printing services, customer holds, and council services will remain unaffected • JP services will operate as normal, but will be relocated as required • The Hub Cafe will run as normal during its regular operating hours. Please speak to a staff member on the day if you require assistance or are unsure about how to access library collections or services.

Salisbury Author Series with Margaret Hickey – ‘An Ill Wind’

The City of Salisbury is thrilled to welcome award-winning Australian author Margaret Hickey for her first-ever appearance in Salisbury as part of the 2025 Salisbury Author Series!

This free event will take place on Wednesday 17 September 2025 from 2pm to 3pm at the Salisbury Community Hub.

Margaret, the bestselling author of Broken Bay and The Creeper, will be discussing her latest crime novel, An Ill Wind, a gripping tale of murder in a small Victorian town, , where the discovery of a wind farm owner’s body sparks a tense investigation to uncover who wanted him dead.

Her novels are celebrated for their gripping storytelling and authentic depictions of rural Australian life, making this an unmissable event for book lovers and crime fiction fans alike.

Attendees will enjoy exclusive insights into Margaret’s writing journey, a discussion about An Ill Wind, and the chance to ask questions during a live Q&A session. Signed copies of An Ill Wind and other popular titles will be available for purchase, with complimentary light refreshments provided.
