Wheels in Motion is a volunteer mentor driving program that assists young people to obtain their driving hours.

This program is not a driving school and does not provide accredited driving instructors

Driving sessions take place in a dedicated, modified learner driver vehicle.

Program Details

Compulsory participant criteria:

  • Participant has their L's
  • Participant has completed 4 lessons with an accredited driving instructor (prior to applying)
  • Participant is aged 16 to 25
  • Participant lives within the City of Salisbury

Due to the nature of the program, there is additional eligibility criteria associated with program acceptance. Please complete the online application below to see if you are eligible.

Participants are able to book one (1) hour driving sessions for $12 per hour.

Wheels in Motion has one intake per year.

2022 Wheels in Motion applications closes on Monday 28 February 2022.

How to become a volunteer?

Twelve25 Youth Centre is looking for volunteers to support young people by accompanying them as they learn to drive. Volunteers will need good communication skills, be reliable, have good driving history and a current SA driver’s licence. Vehicle supplied. Various days and shifts available, including weekends.
