Getting Your L's
Getting Your L's is a one day workshop that prepares and supports you to sit the learner's driving test.
This workshop is delivered by a TAFE SA Trainer and Assessor and held at Twelve25 Youth Centre.
The following topics included:
- Road rules
- Understanding what is involved in the test
- Completing the test
You are welcome to bring a support person, or we can provide a volunteer to support your learning. We will ask you about your support needs during the registration process.
- Eligibility: 16 to 25 years
- Time: 10am to 4pm
- Cost: $145 (includes lunch and sitting the test).
- Location: Twelve25 Youth Centre
Please note: This price does not include the learner's permit cost. A fee of $68 must be paid separately to Services SA after passing the test.

Steps for booking in to a course
Please follow the steps to ensure you book in to a course correctly.
You will need to know your USI number as a part of the program registration.
If you do not have a USI number, you will need to create one via the Unique Student Identifier website.

(You can organise this before booking into a course)
You must bring relevant ID to the orientation and the course.
You will need to provide three (3) pieces of evidence;
- Proof of birth
- Proof of signature
- Proof of current address
Not sure what you need? Check out "Know your ID requirements" to make sure you have acceptable evidence to obtain your learner's permit.
You cannot use the same ID for two categories.
For example, Using Centrelink card as evidence for proof of address and signature. It can only be accepted as one or the other.
All ID must be the same as what's on the birth or marriage certificate.
(You will need to have the correct ID before booking in to the course)
Please make sure you have your ID documents and your USI when you register.

Once you've booked into Eventbrite, you will not get a refund. Please make sure you follow the booking steps or call us to ask any questions.
To book into a course you will be required to pay online at the time of registration.
TAFE SA subsidies
If you identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, you are eligible for a course subsidies. Please contact Kate before booking into the course to get the discount code.
After you register, you will need to complete the "TAFE SA Enrolment Form" and bring this to the orientation session. Alternatively you can complete this form prior to the session and return to Kate Kitching via Kkitching@salisbury.sa.gov.au
Please pay close attention to Page 1 (don't forget your USI!)
You do not need to fill out the "registration details" section as you aren't paying fees directly to TAFE SA.
Upcoming course dates
L's Workshop and test: 9 December 2021
You will be required to attend an orientation night to complete further paperwork and have your ID sighted.
Registration for December opening in late October.
