SA Youth Week 2022

SA Youth Week (SAYW) is South Australia’s annual celebration of young people and it’s on again from 13 to 22 May this year. Check out the range of programs and events happening this week.

The City of Salisbury is celebrating SA Youth Week by offering a range of opportunities for young people aged 12 - 25 to engage with their community and to participate in activities.

The Hunt

A Scavenger Hunt - Adventure Quest that merges team building and technology into a fun outdoor adventure.

Teams will be on the edge of their seats as they answer questions, complete video and photo tasks, get hit with problem-solving activities and rand on the spot challenges all in the quest to earn as many points as possible.

When: Saturday 21 May 2022

Time: 1pm to 4pm

Cost: Free

Ages: 12 to 25 years

Prize: A medal and voucher to Project Break.

Start and Finish Location: Twelve25 Youth Centre

You can register as an individual and be placed with other young people to make a team or register a team of up to five people.

Robotic Smart Cars

Build and code your own mini robotic Smart Car and test them out on our track!

Paint in 3D - Virtual Reality

Draw on the walls of the room. Create 3D art by moving your body. Take a journey into your creative mind. Choose this session if you want to experience the complete freedom of visual art creation that virtual reality at room scale offers. Future artists will be able to explore spatial art because of it. Work on a collaborative VR artwork that will be showcased online.

When: Wednesday 18 May 2022

Time: 2.30pm to 4.30pm (book 30 minutes sessions)
