Community Disability Programs Mens Shed

Disability Programs

The City of Salisbury is a Registered NDIS Provider.

Centre based group activities

Come out and meet a new group of friends and try something new. We have four programs on offer.

STARS Program

Daytime Activities include:

  • Social outings
  • Arts and crafts
  • Group activities
  • Lunches

Every Wednesday from 9am to 3pm.

Currently located at the Burton Community Centre, 386 Waterloo Corner Road, Burton.

From 1 July 2021 the STARS will move across the carpark to the Salisbury United Soccer Club while the new Burton Community Hub is being built.

  • Eligibility: Adults aged 19 - 65 with an intellectual disability

Fun on Friday

Daytime activities such as:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Social outings
  • Lunches
  • Group Activities

Every Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Currently located at the Burton Community Centre, 386 Waterloo Corner Road, Burton.

Salisbury Social Group

Evening activities such as:

  • Arts & crafts
  • Dinners
  • Social outings
  • Group activities
  • Table tennis
  • Dress ups

Fortnightly on Thursday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Located at Jack Young Centre, 1 Orange Avenue, Salisbury.

  • Eligibility: Adults aged 18+ with an intellectual disability

The Shed

Come along and meet other new people and use your skills or learn new ones in a friendly supportive environment.

Activities include:

  • Wood work
  • Arts & crafts
  • Metal work
  • Basic computer
  • Lunch outings

Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9am to 3pm.

Located at Pooraka Men’s Shed, 39 Scott St, Pooraka (at the back of the Memorial Hall)
