Create a Place

The City of Salisbury would like to invite suitably qualified artists to submit their expression of interest for the design, fabrication and installation of artwork across various walls of the Pooraka Memorial Hall.

This work will become a part of the City of Salisbury’s art trail and assist in beautifying our region.

Pooraka Memorial Hall

This Memorial Hall provides a welcoming and enjoyable community space offering a wide variety of programs and activities to the local community. This hall is also available for hire and is a great venue for many different functions or events.

Concept of Works

As this is a City of Salisbury owned and operated location, with strong links to Pooraka Farm Men’s Shed - as well as local community users and external hirers – these activities include workshops such as woodwork, arts and crafts, metalwork, basic computing and lunch outings. We are asking artists to take into consideration the demographic users of the building and ask that their concepts focus on a suitable recognition of the community members who frequent this location.

Expressions of Interest can be sent to Jenny Henry at arts@salisbury.sa.gov.au and close Monday 18 September 2023 at 5pm (ACDT).
