Our Saturday Sessions are back this winter! Escape the cold and join us in the warmth of the Salisbury Community Hub across eight Saturdays where we will be hosting fun activities and entertainment from 11am to 2pm.
Included within the ticket price will be the activity and a voucher for the weekly Saturday Sessions special at Square Café within the Salisbury Community Hub, to be redeemed on the day. The special will include a small drink and a tasty treat.
Check out the activities across each session below. Sessions will be limited in numbers and wait times may apply.
Little ones can bring out their inner master chef and create a cupcake masterpiece. With icing and a variety of lollies for decorating, they will only be limited by their imaginations.
Time to find those green thumbs! Children can decorate their own terracotta pot, and then plant a seed to take home and nurture.
Join us at the Gardens Recreation Centre for our Salisbury Community Fun Day! This exciting FREE event will include a range of activities such as mini golf, an inflatable obstacle course and a kindi-gym.
For more information, visit the event page.
It’s time for our builders and engineers of the future to shine. There will be different challenges for children young and old, from the 'Tallest Tower Challenge' to the Mario inspired 'Super Kart Challenge'. Prizes are also up for grabs for the 'best builds' of the day.
The drive-In is back for one day only. The kids will love this one and parents will enjoy reflecting on the nostalgia of the classic drive-In movie experience. Every child will make their own box car, aeroplane or truck; wherever their imagination takes them. Once they have finished, they can sit back in the comfort of their creation and watch a favourite children’s movie.
Feel free to bring your own snacks to enjoy during the movie.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the selected film.
Book Week 2022 is on its way. This is your chance to be a part of the City of Salisbury’s Book Week artwork. Each child will be able to draw their favourite book cover onto a giant puzzle piece, which will then be displayed in the children’s library during the Book Week celebrations. Children will also be able to decorate their own bookmark and library bag to take home. Why not borrow a book from the library while you are here?
Join Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries for a totally immersive experience. Put on a pair of VR goggles and immerse yourself in the marine life of the ‘Great Southern Reef’. Experience the colourful giant Australian cuttlefish, friendly sea lions, sea dragons and what it is like to dive under Rapid Bay jetty surrounded by other divers and large schools of reef fish.
Following the VR experience, there will be the opportunity to ask a marine biologist about the marine life you have experienced and a videographer to ask about the cameras and techniques used to capture the 360 videos.

Children are recruited as detectives to help solve a spooky mystery. With hidden riddles to find around the Hub and some hilariously exciting surprises along the way, the children will be running and searching with excitement to get to the bottom of the case. After the case is solved, there will be some mystery themed games to play.
Two sessions will be available.
Session 1: 11am to 12.15pm
Session 2: 12.30pm to 1.45pm
