Carry On Guides Twice Upon a Time

Did you know: Carry On Guides is the only all-Guide production in the southern hemisphere, and one of only two (known) Guide Shows in the world? The show is produced and performed entirely by active members of Girl Guides SA. Our youngest cast member is seven years old, and our oldest is…well… a grownup. We perform a two-hour (ish) variety show, using contemporary music, where we sing and dance to the accompaniment of a live orchestra. We also have a number of short comedy sketches, most written by members of the team.

This year’s show, Twice Upon A Time, looks at the stories behind your favourite fairy tales and nursery rhymes. What happens to the seven dwarves after Snow White runs off with Prince Charming? What does Incy Wincy Spider get up to when she’s not climbing drainpipes? Who does the chores in the Evil Villain Share House?

All up, what we do is pretty special, and we’re very proud of it. If you haven’t been to see us before, or have had a few years off, we’d love to have you join us at the Shedley Theatre this August!

Show dates are Thursday 22nd to Saturday 24 August. Weeknight performances start at 7.30pm, and our Saturday shows are 1.30pm and 8pm.

Tickets start at $12 for under-15s (concession $16 and adult $20) – family tickets and group discounts are also available.
