Join us for our 2023 Australia Day celebrations on Thursday 26 January at Carisbrooke Park

From water slides to a Weet-Bix eating contest, a petting zoo and community cricket match – there is plenty of action planned for our annual Australia Day celebration.

A free community hot breakfast of bacon and egg rolls served up by the 1st Salisbury Scout Group, or a healthy option of fruit and yoghurt will be available from 8am until 11am (while supplies last), with food and drink available for purchase later in the day.

Official events will include a flag raising ceremony, presentation of the Salisbury Australia Day Citizen of the Year Award Winners for 2023 and a citizenship ceremony.

The day will also be packed with loads of free entertainment including live music from a local brass band and rock and roll band Crosstown Ramblers.

Other free activities on offer include;

  • Weet-Bix eating and thong throwing contests
  • Novelty events including cornhole toss, sack races, egg and spoon races
  • Water slides and a giant playground for the whole family (don't forget your towel)
