Fishing has not been restricted in South Australia under the COVID-19 Emergency Management Directions, however the general principles and messaging of staying home, avoiding unnecessary travel, and social distancing apply.
If you’re going out on your boat, restrict the capacity and who you go with to immediate family you’re living with. If you’re planning to fish of a jetty, pontoon or rocks, then please only attend local spaces and apply social distancing measures. Also observe any local Council advice or signage that may restrict access and or restrict these activities.
Featuring a boat ramp and channel, the St Kilda Boat Club Marina welcomes the boating public to a favourite metropolitan fishing haven.
The club's marina complex incorporates:
- Affordable hard stands
- Marina berths
- Private boat ramp
- Secure car park
- Clubrooms
- Slipping facilities
Additional features include bar facilities (open on Friday nights and Sundays from 2pm), boating and sailing activities.
Fishing
Fishing is plentiful in the St Kilda area. Some of the fish species that can be found in the area include Australian Salmon, Whiting, King George Whiting and Bream.
