Type

Carisbrooke Park is the first in a series of reserves at Salisbury Park that is linked by the Little Para River and walking trails.

Carisbrooke Park is accessible via Main North Road. This large and grassed reserve features shaded junior playgrounds as well as picnic areas and barbecues, both of which have plenty of shade. Paths and footbridges cross the river into Boundary Park.

On the Carisbrooke side, the paths lead to Harry Bowey Reserve which is home to many barbecues and sporting options. Multiple trail options on both sides of the river assist access for those using wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome on leads.

Ample play equipment at the park includes multiple swings, carousels, climbing equipment, gym bars, sandpits and slippery dips. The massive grassed areas are perfect for sport and picnics with family and friends.

The Little Para Trail leads past ancient canoe-cut trees and follows the meandering river past grasslands and beautiful eucalypt woodlands.

Harry Bowey Reserve is only a short 1.2km walk from Carisbrooke Park, or is accessible via Riversdale Drive.

Harry Bowey Reserve features an impressive range of play equipment including a twin flying fox, a toddler slide, a big swing, two mid-sized climbing frames and two smaller rope climbing frames, a traditional merry go round, a small spinning seat and a double swing set.

Toilet facilities and barbecue areas are available, making Carisbrooke Park and Harry Bowey Reserve perfect for a full days outing.
