COVID 19 Update

Our programs will be held in line with health advice from State and Federal Governments in relation to COVID-19. Please keep the following in mind when attending our programs:

  • Social distancing principles will apply with every person required to stay at least 1.5 metres from other members of the public. However, this does not apply to people who live together, who are friends or family members, or people who regularly associate with each other.
  • Some of our programs may be capped in order to abide by State and Federal Government health advice.
  • If you or your child feel unwell and/or are displaying any of the COVID-19 symptoms, for the safety of others, please do not attend our programs.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided at the entry.
  • Full refunds will be provided to all participants if programs are required to be cancelled at short notice.

The City of Salisbury is also taking extra precautionary measures to ensure equipment and public areas are cleaned more regularly by a professional cleaner and additional sanitiser stations are available throughout the building. Microsoft Office Specialist - Microsoft Excel 2019 or 365

Bookings are now open for the Microsoft Word course beginning on 3 August. Please note that this course will be delivered entirely online. Participants are required to have access to their own computer running Windows and their own copy of Microsoft Word 2019 or 365. A reliable internet connection is also required. FAQs

How much do the courses and assessments cost?

The training and assessments are $30 per course including your first exam.

Do I need to complete all the Microsoft Office Specialist certifications?

It’s highly recommended that participants complete all three certifications but is not compulsory.

What courses are available?

Each term we have a different course on offer, if you register your expression of interest through our online form, we will keep you updated on what courses we are offering. You can also 'like' the Salisbury Library Service Facebook page for information on upcoming courses.

How does remote learning work?

Remote learning is delivered via online video training which includes knowledge checks and projects for you to work through. All of the training can be completed remotely, however the final certification exam must be completed in person.

How do I book into the exam?

When you are ready to take the exam you will be sent an invitation to secure your spot.

What are the requirements for studying remotely?

For those intending on studying online, please ensure prior to enrolling that you have the following:

  • Access to a computer running the Windows operating system
  • A good connection to the internet for video streaming
  • The latest version of Microsoft Office 2019 or 365 installed
  • The ability to install GMetrix software on your computer
