Join in the fun this school holidays with our online program of activities!

Our programs will be held in line with health advice from State and Federal Governments in relation to COVID-19. Please keep the following in mind when attending our programs:

  • Social distancing principles will apply with every person required to stay at least 1.5 metres from other members of the public. However, this does not apply to people who live together, who are friends or family members, or people who regularly associate with each other.
  • Some of our programs may be capped in order to abide by State and Federal Government health advice.
  • If you or your child feel unwell and/or are displaying any of the COVID-19 symptoms, for the safety of others, please do not attend our programs.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided at the entry and exit points of each program area.
  • Full refunds will be provided to all participants if programs are required to be cancelled at short notice.

Palaeontology Rocks

Monday 28 September

Join us for an awesome look at dinosaurs, incorporating investigation skills, creativity and imagination. Do your own dinosaur egg excavation, check out the dinosaur dig and make your own fossils to keep.

Mobile Science Education: How Astronomy Works

Tuesday 29 September

Astronomy for Youngsters - an introductory astronomy workshop with lots of movement.

Topics: stars and their size; the spinning earth; North, South, Up, Down; Moon Phases, Hand-made craters, planet sorting.

Our Place in Space: Local (and Stellar) Astronomy Workshop

Tuesday 29 September

 A movement-rich workshop mixing modelling, hands-on work and questioning. Students will explore the scale of the universe, the moon (phases and formation), the earth (day/night, year, seasons), our solar system, and rockets.

Cozy Cooks with Megan's Kitchen

Tuesday 29 September and Tuesday 6 October

Cook up a storm at home with our online cooking programs! Watch and learn as Megan (our chef extraordinaire!) bakes two delicious recipes with step-by-step instructions, that you can recreate from the comfort of your own kitchen. Register for one session or both!

Manga Drawing Workshop

Wednesday 30 September

Join local illustrator Tsunami Hee Ja for an hour long Manga drawing workshop.  Learn the basics of this popular Japanese art and create your own anime character.

Come along to complete some coding activities and see how ScratchJr can teach the fundamentals of coding skills. SA Rocks

Friday 2 October

Have you heard of SA Rocks? It's this amazing group that everyone can be a part of. You colour, paint, design, write a message on the front of the rock then you can go hide it anywhere you like - local parks, library, bushwalks etc. Afterwards, be sure to keep your eyes out for other hidden SA Rocks wherever you go. Swap what you find with another of yours. This fun can go on forever.

Growing for Gold

The Growing for Gold program encourages young people aged 3-16 to participate in sporting and recreational activities. Local sporting clubs open their doors to provide young people with the opportunity to come and try their sport. With many sports involved in the program there is plenty to choose from.

Are you looking to volunteer, but don't know where to start? The City of Salisbury and Northern Volunteering SANT will help you discover the wide variety of volunteering options that are available to you within our community. Each attendee will obtain a Department of Human Service Screenings.

Barista Course - Level 1 Basics (Nationally Accredited)

Thursday 8 October

If you are looking for employment in the hospitality industry, and you need to gain the skills to get the job, this Level 1 Basic Barista Course is for you! Expert barista trainers (HG Coffee School) will cover everything from a brief history and appreciation of coffee, operating coffee machinery and working in a café environment.
