Skill level required: Some experience with block based coding.

Ages: 8 - 12 years

Learn all about game design and create some of the most common forms of games in this six week course. Perfect for anyone who loves playing video games and wants to get started making their own.

9 February: Windows 10 Basics and Tips

Understanding how to use Windows can be useful no matter devices you have at home. In this session we will take a look at the basics of navigating around Windows 10, including file management, shortcuts and personalisation.

16 February: Accessing ebooks and Electronic Magazines

Your South Australian library card lets you access a wealth of ebooks and electronic magazines. In this session see how you can access these on different devices. Bring your library card and your computer, phone, tablet or e-reader.

23 February: Learning with Lynda.com

Lynda.com features many great courses. Learn how to search for topics that interest you, get started with a course and plan your learning for 2021.

2 March: Photo Editing with Paint.net

Explore some of the basics and more advanced techniques involved in photo editing. This session will look at tweaks, background removal, layers, merging images and more.

9 March: Using Libre Office

Set yourself free with this excellent office software. You'll see how Libre Office can manage your documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

16 March: Exploring Archives

Discover search techniques as you explore some of useful online archives such as State Library SA, Trove, and the Internet Archive.

23 March: Get started with Video Editing

Learn the basics of linear video editing and produce a short video using free video editing software.

30 March: Making Games with Code

Come and learn how code influences so much of what we do. And then make your own retro video game with code!
