Phoebe Wanganeen was a highly respected Aboriginal Elder. Her passion for improving access to education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people was something she championed throughout her life.
To recognise Phoebe Wanganeen’s contribution the City of Salisbury has awarded the Phoebe Wanganeen Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship since 2008. This Scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander City of Salisbury residents to study at any South Australian university; TAFE SA or South Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
Scholarship applications are now open for 2021 and close midnight Monday 29 March 2021.
Note: Late applications will not be considered.
