COVID -19 Update

In line with the State Government direction issued earlier today, we are pleased that a number of Council’s services will resume from Monday however we ask that you please call the centre prior to visiting as oepning hours may have slightly changed.

Social distancing and hygiene measures will still apply and we ask that you please do not enter any Council facility if you are feeling unwell of experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. More information can be found here.

The Para Hills Community Hub is a centre for the community. A place for people to meet, for business or leisure, participate in a program, attend an event, access the library and its services, or utilise the centre’s computers and Wi-Fi. There is also a range of flexible rooms and halls for hire. The Paddocks Centre, which has serviced the community for more than 30 years, has relocated into the new facility. The centre's programs, services and community events will be available at the new Hub.

 Para Hills Community Garden

Coming soon to the Para Hills Community Hub is the Para Hills Community Garden, a place for the whole community to connect with nature and participate in programs that support health and wellbeing. Supported by funding from State Government’s Wellbeing SA, the community garden will be located at the rear of the Hub and consist of both above ground and inground plantings including citrus trees and a bush tucker garden. An outdoor flexible learning area where the community can participate in garden based programs or just sit and relax amongst nature is also part of the inclusive design. The final garden design is now in the approval and tender process with building expected to begin in late October/early November.
