About COTA SA Conversations with Salisbury Seniors
These popular and engaging Conversations commenced in October 2015 under the banner of COTA SA Conversations with Northern Seniors. This initiative began with a collaboration between the City of Salisbury, Northern Collaborative Project (NCP) and COTA SA with an aim to deliver regular ‘conversations’ with seniors that would:
- Provide specialist information on a range of topics that directly impacted on the lives of older people living in the northern region.
- Engage and build the knowledge of a broader group of community members, enhancing participation in their local community.
- Provide a forum for COTA SA and the City of Salisbury to hear directly from older people on the issues raised to enable COTA SA and City of Salisbury to utilise these views to inform policy.
The NCP Community Ambassadors were pivotal initially in supporting older people to engage and speak out, supporting them to have a voice around issues that were important in their lives.
22 September 2020 marked the 27th Conversation. We look forward to seeing you at future conversations.
