Hard waste
Hard Waste Service
The City of Salisbury offers a Hard Waste Service for residents and Non Profit Organisations (excluding Government agencies).
The service is available to both residents and bona fide Salisbury non profit organisations (Church groups, sporting clubs, rotary clubs etc). The service is NOT extended to government agencies.
The Hard Waste Service is managed by the Northern Adelaide Waste Management Authority (NAWMA), which currently operates the area’s residential three bin service.
Resident Service
It is recognised that residents have different needs, so there are two options available to residents within the Salisbury council region. Residents may choose between: -
- The Voucher System, providing residents with access to the Council Waste Transfer Station free of charge, for one 2.1m x 1.5m x 2.0m metre trailer load per year or
- A Suburb by Suburb Booking System, whereby residents can book up to one month in advance for their hard waste to be collected from their home, at a fee of $10. As of the 1st January 2010 there will be two periods per year when residents can access the home collection service albeit that only one service collection per year is available.
See the Hard Waste Service Brochure below for materials eligible to be disposed of via these services.
Non Profit Organisation Service
(excluding Government agencies)
Non Profit Organisations may access the Waste Transfer Station (not the home collection service) up to six times in any calendar year with no more than two vouchers per quarter. Trailer size for non profit organisations should not exceed 2.1 x 1.5 x 2.0 metres. Non profit organisations can obtain vouchers by downloading the ‘Hard Waste Voucher Service’ form.
Please NOTE that only materials prescribed in the Hard Waste Service brochure (available from the link below) are eligible for this service.'
