Pension Concession

A remission of up to 60% of council rates (to a maximum of $190.00) is allowable in respect of dwellings owned and occupied by pensioners who are the holders of Pensioner Concession Cards (PCCs).

In order to qualify for the remission of rates applicants must be eligible pensioners at the date that the first rates instalment is due.

Health Care Card holders

Holders of a current Health Care Card (HCC) as at the due date of the first rates instalment in a financial year may be eligible for a concession on their rates.

State Seniors Card holders (Self Funded Retirees)

A remission of up to 60% of council rates (to a maximum of $100.00) is allowable in respect of dwellings owned and occupied as the person's principal place of residence.

In order to qualify for a remission of rates, applicants must be eligible state Seniors Card holders at the date that the first instalment is due.
