Dog Friendly Parks
As part of its drive to reduce the incidence of dog attacks in the Salisbury area, Council maintains and enforces a By Law requiring all dogs to be leashed in public places (including roads and footpaths) except for parks and open spaces marked with signs permitting unleashed exercise from 6.30 pm to 8 am daily.
In conjunction with these controls Council also provides “dog friendly parks” where owners can exercise their dogs unleashed at any time. The fenced parks have been designed to provide interesting recreational environments for both dogs and owners as well as opportunities for rest and watering. Currently there are 9 parks available throughout the City. Use the map below to browse the park locations.
