Dog and Cat Management Plan – currently under review

The Dog and Cat Management Plan is prepared by the City of Salisbury in response to legislative requirements and the need to adopt a planned approach to the responsibilities under the Dog and Cat Management Act 1995 which will guide dog and cat management over the next 5 years.

Please note that work is currently underway on the revision of the Dog and Cat Management Plan and we will announce the new Dog and Cat Management Plan once it ready for release. It has been delayed to give due consideration to the legislative changes that have occurred under the Dog and Cat Management Act and the impact of these changes.

In the meantime dog and cat management does not stop as Council continually regulates dogs and cats within the area through the administration of the Dog and Cat Management Act and By Laws, and also provides many services including dog friendly parks, dog noise and dog attack investigations, collecting wandering dogs and returning lost dogs to owners.
