The ‘wheels keep turning’ - 1,000 individual rides in 12 months

The Cycle Salisbury Social Rides reached two milestones in September. The local program which aims to get ‘more bottoms on bikes more often’, turned 6 and celebrated reaching a fantastic milestone!

We are REALLY proud of the achievements of the Cycle Salisbury Social Rides program. A BIG thank you needs to go to all our Bike SA volunteer ride leaders for their dedication and work in making this a successful program. In particular Elaine for being the ride coordinator and also maintaining the webpage. Thanks also to ride leaders Des, Mark, Nigel, Bryce and Jim.

This is the sixth year in a row that we have offered around 110 opportunities for people to ride with us in any one year. 1,000 individual rides for the 12 month period (September 2018 – August 2019).

We would like to thank everyone that came out to one of our rides. We would love to ‘get more bottoms on bikes more often’, so if you haven’t been out for a ride with us we would love to see you soon.

Thanks to the City of Salisbury and Bike SA for their continuing support and encouragement.

We look forward to another successful year to come. So come on, jump on your bike and come out riding with us!

An additional spin-off we are really pleased to see is the friendships that have been formed through the program and that people are getting together to ride outside of the ‘Cycle Salisbury’ program.
