What is Chair Yoga?

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support.

Chair yoga is a wonderful, alternative way to practice yoga without getting on or off the floor. Restrictions after surgery, arthritis, joint or musculo-skeletal problems are some examples of why chair yoga can be more appropriate.

Whether you have been referred by a health care professional or decided for yourself to attend, chair yoga is a great practice for everyone, as it improves well-being, increases flexibility, improves strength and balance, reduces stress and improves sleep.
