Want to host your own live radio show?

We’re searching for 16-25 year olds from Salisbury and Playford who want to kickstart their radio careers in Round 19 of our Jibba Jabba Radio program.

Jibba Jabba Radio lets young people run their own live weekly radio show from the PBA FM Community Radio Station in Salisbury. Past participants have used this program as an entry point for media roles and radio courses. Previous participant Liam Stapleton co-hosted the Fresh FM breakfast show and has now moved to Sydney to work with Triple J.

Am I eligible?

To be involved you need to be aged 16-25 years and live, study, volunteer or work in the City of Salisbury or the City of Playford. Six young people from each Council area are selected to participate (12 participants per six month period). Five weeks of radio training is provided, and weekly sessions include researching program content, program development, interviewing, program recording and a new component of short film clips.

Availability required: Fridays from 4pm to 6pm.

How do I apply?

Cost: $150.00 for a 6 month program (approx $7.00 per week). If the cost may be a barrier to your participation please give us a call to discuss.
Jibba Jabba Radio airs on PBA FM 89.7 on Friday afternoons at 4:30pm (Co-located at Twelve25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre, 17-19 Wiltshire Street Salisbury).
