I Hate Shakespeare!

Salisbury Secret Garden Youth Fringe Program 2020

Presented by Salisbury Youth Performing Arts Group

We hate Shakespeare! At least that’s what the audience thinks until they get a rip-roaring rundown of Shakespeare’s classics. With zombies, talking cows, and an appearance by Jerry Springer, I Hate Shakespeare! Is a hilarious and fast-paced introduction to Shakespeare with a modern twist. Plus, someone gets a pie in the face. Written by Steph DeFerie

Salisbury Youth Performing Arts Group

Established in 2014, The Salisbury Youth Performing Art Group allows young people to become involved in their local arts community. The group is comprised of young people between the ages of 12-18 from all walks of life, brought together by their love of the Performing Arts. During their Thursday afternoon sessions, the participants learn about various acting techniques, characterisation, script writing, basic music skills, and behind the scenes aspects of producing a performance. The group aims to produce two shows a year, giving them goals to strive for and the opportunity to demonstrate to family, friends, and the wider community, the skills they have obtained through the weekly sessions.
