The Basic Car Maintenance Workshop is for any young person aged 16 - 25 years; who live, work, study or volunteer in the boundaries of The City of Salisbury and City of Playford. This program is partnered with Peter Kittle Toyota and facilitated by a young mechanic. A small amount of time will be in a class room setting learning the theory, the remaining of the workshop will be practical.

Topics covered

 How to change a tyre / checking tyre pressure / why and knowing when tyres need to be changed

  • When and why a car needs to be serviced

  • What happens when the car is serviced

  • Checking oils, water levels and understanding them

  • How to jump start a car

  • Dangers of an un-roadworthy car

Participants will be working on cars (example - Changing a tyre), so please bring suitable clothing and closed in shoes.

When: Saturday 18 August 2018

Time: 8.45am - 12pm
