Are you ready to re-enter the workforce or are you looking for a change in career? Would you like to learn in a relaxed and supportive environment? Do you think that you have the empathy and understanding to work in a care role?

Aged Care and Disability Care are industries with high growth in South Australia. Our program will help prepare you for further study, volunteering and work in the care sector.

The program will include:

  • Developing Skills for the Future of Work
  • Resilience and a Positive Mindset
  • Introduction to WH&S
  • Introduction to Manual Handling and Infection Control
  • Introduction to Food Safety
  • Communicating in the Aged and Disability Sector
  • Exploring Dementia and Alzheimer’s
  • Cultural Diversity Awareness
  • Exploring Aged and Disability Sector
  • Mental Health Awareness

This program will provide a unit which is accredited from Certificate I Access to Vocational Pathways. A Statement of Attainment will be issued by TAFESA upon completion. Certificate I Access to Vocational Pathways (TP00603). Competency: Use basic strategies for career planning (FSKLRG03).
