Applying for a job can be overwhelming and as we know, a resume is a vital tool in gaining employment. It is the first meeting between you and a prospective employer and tells a great deal about you, where you have been, where you are and where you are heading. Often it is hard to know where to start.

That’s why the Job Pod, located at the Len Beadell Library in Salisbury, has been designed to assist job seekers (18 years and over) in the Salisbury area by providing a range of moving into work print resources and the free use of a PC for working on resumes, job searching and job applications. It has been implemented as part of the City of Salisbury Workers in Transition Program designed to assist residents affected by changing economic conditions in the area.

The Job Pod PC features core software for resume writing as well as a selection of links to library resources, resume-building and employment websites. This PC is available during library opening hours and you are able to work on it as long as you need to job search or write your resume. Please note that you will need to bring a USB to save your work and enable you to print. There is a small charge for printing.

No booking required – just ask at the front desk.
