Join in the fun this school holidays with our online program of activities!

Our programs will be held in line with health advice from State and Federal Governments in relation to COVID-19. Please keep the following in mind when attending our programs:

  • Social distancing principles will apply with every person required to stay at least 1.5 metres from other members of the public. However, this does not apply to people who live together, who are friends or family members, or people who regularly associate with each other.
  • Some of our programs may be capped in order to abide by State and Federal Government health advice.
  • If you or your child feel unwell and/or are displaying any of the COVID-19 symptoms, for the safety of others, please do not attend our programs.
  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided at the entry and exit points of each program area.
  • Full refunds will be provided to all participants if programs are required to be cancelled at short notice.

Virtual School Holiday Magic Workshop with The Amazing Magic Mike!

MOVEIT Fitness Take Home Craft and Activity Kits

*Available throughout the school holidays until stocks last*

With School Holidays being a little different this July, Salisbury Library Service and MOVEIT FITNESS have worked together to provide take home craft Kits to help ease the boredom. Each set is individually packed and sealed with 5 - 8 activities/crafts per theme and a link to YouTube videos showing how to make each craft.

Age: Activities suitable for children 5-10 years

*Packs can be picked up from the designated Library Branch between 6 - 10 July. Packs that have been ordered but not picked up will be forforted after this time.

Pokemon Trading Card Game with Tabletop Warfare

Tuesday 7 July

Come along and learn how to play Pokemon from local Pokemon experts Tabletop Warfare and take part in some exciting mini games. All equipment supplied. Free giveaways for every participant!

Cozy Cooks Pizza Scrolls

Tuesday 7 July and Tuesday 14 July

This winter cook up a storm at home with our online cooking programs! Watch and learn as Megan (our chef extraordinaire!) bakes two delicious recipes with step-by-step instructions, that you can recreate from the comfort of your own kitchen. Register for one session or both!

Chess School SA - Holiday Chess Program

Tuesday 7 and 8 July

Take part in our HOLIDAY CHESS PROGRAM organised by Chess School SA. You will learn chess Openings, Middle games, Endgames, chess strategies and tactics. Your chess knowledge will increase and you will become a better chess player! Holiday chess program is a great activity for students to be involved in during the school holidays. Children will exercise their mental muscles while having fun.

Cost: $20 for one day or $30 for two days

Age: Suitable for under children 5 -17 years

Make 'n' Play Hula Hoops

Virtual Code Club

Code Club is a great way to try lots of different coding activities at your own pace. In this online event we will be showing you some of the great code club resources that you can access from home and how to get started. Helpers will also be available online to assist with any coding questions you might have.

Make your own 3D Printed Keyring

Friday 10 July

3D printing allows people to design, customise and manufacture their own items. It's pretty amazing! Come along to this session to see how to get started with 3D Design. You'll also get to make your own keytag or bagtag and have it 3D printed (items will be available for pickup one week after the event). Please note: Due to social distancing requirements only participants and one supervising adult for each child will be admitted to the workshop.

The BBC Micro:Bit is a powerful and cheap computer that can be programmed to do an amazing range of tasks. Come along to the this introductory session to see how this $25 computer can be used as a compass, radio, morse code machine and more. No coding experience is required.

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award

What a great time to start your award, while you have spare time over the holiday!

Find your Purpose, Passion and Place! Twelve25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre is a Duke of Ed Open Award Centre. Open to all young people aged 14 to 24 years living in the City of Salisbury to join a leading youth development program that empowers you to realise their full potential.

All you need to do is spend an hour a week in each of the following areas to complete your Bronze Award in only 6 months;

  • Physical recreation
  • Learn a skill
  • Voluntary service
  • Adventurous journey
